Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 20, 2026

1. Description of Service

The Weekly Slate ("we," "us," or "our") operates a premium weekly newsletter focused on film criticism, industry news, and curated recommendations. By accessing our website and subscribing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Subscription & Billing Terms

Monthly Subscription: Our recurring subscription is billed at ₹69 per month via UPI Autopay.

Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged during this 30-day period. Unless you cancel before the end of your trial, your chosen payment method will be automatically charged ₹69/month thereafter.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by managing your UPI Autopay mandate in your UPI application. Cancellation stops future charges but does not grant refunds for past charges.

3. Single-Issue Purchases

Users may purchase access to a single weekly issue for a one-time fee of ₹19. This is a standalone transaction and does not enroll you in a recurring subscription or grant access to the 30-day free trial.

4. Acceptable Use & Content Ownership

All content provided by The Weekly Slate, including reviews, essays, and curated text, is the intellectual property of Sathvik Yellani. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access this content for personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or resell our newsletter content without explicit written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Weekly Slate is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding the uninterrupted availability of the service or the accuracy of the editorial content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Weekly Slate and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
